Bought some KD 1 3/8" drop pegs from a guy on another forum trying to gain a little leg room. My stock pegs had already had the rubber pads removed, so the KD pegs only gave me another 5/8" more legroom. No issues lowering he brake pedal to suit, but when I relocated the shift leer on it's splines, my foot fouled on the sidestand tang. I removed the lever, made a tracing and used a vice and hammer to bend it outward slightly. I bent it out from the splined end and then bent the other end to keep the lever at a right angle to the shift shaft. When doing this second bend, I chucked the lever up with the end sticking up and used a heavy drift and hammer to make the short bend rather than bending it where the toe section meets the long part of the lever. Didn't want to break that off. Just a heads-up for anyone wanting to use these pegs.
